Our values are present in each of the actions and events that we carry out: from the food we serve in our degustation restaurant “l’Indret de Semon” to the catering service, going through the events taking place inside and outside our store, the delivery food always perfectly shipped and the products we offer in our gourmet shop.
One of our main values is transparency: in Semon we want to show to our clients what they can expect from our service, being the house catering or any of the other ones we offer. Thus, besides transparency, Semon rules for the following mantras:
Continuous search of new products
In Semon we look for perfection in everything we do… and offer. One of the characteristics that have made us one of the best gourmet shops in Barcelona, is the tireless search for new products that satisfy the needs of our clients. And that surprise them!
Since our origins, Semon has stood out for bringing to the shop (now also online) new products and recipes, Spanish and international. The goal is to offer to our consumers something they can’t easily find. That’s why, we keep traveling: to discover more original and innovative products and bring them to you. However, we are not only looking internationally, but also very committed to the local producers who work very hard and are super dedicated to elaborate each of their products.
The seasonality of the products
The quality of the products is, for us, a non-brainer: an essential requirement. That’s why we carefully choose the raw materials. Every season, both in our gourmet store and in the restaurant, we offer different products depending on the time of the year. This contributes to get better flavors while, at the same time, being more respectful with the values both our clients and Semon share.
Tradition and Innovation
Two words that might seem opposed, but that in Semon go hand-in-hand. In our catering, gourmet delivery and delicatessen store, we claim for the slow life: doing things from scratch in a traditional and calm way. But that doesn’t mean that we turn away from new cultures and movements, who bring richness to our dishes. Plus, we are committed to new cooking techniques, to achieve that original and surprising touch we want to offer.
Semon and sustainability
At Semon we consider that sustainability is something we should all put our efforts in, to take care of our surroundings and environment. That’s why we have substituted the plastic containers of our products with crystal ones. At the same time, we have introduced biodegradable, recycled and ecological materials in the packaging, as well as in other elements such as bags or wrappings.
Other actions that follow this same philosophy is the use of isothermic fabric bags. These bags are not only sustainable, but also help the product to arrive home in perfect conditions, reducing the breakage of the cold chain.
With little actions like this one, we contribute to reducing the consumption of plastic, both inside and outside Semon.

In our gourmet store, as well as in all the services of Semon, we defend the preservation of the traditions. These have shaped what Semon is today: a united team who shares, laughs and enjoys being surrounded. And this is shown in each part of this business, this family. In Semon we have a saying: “We put the best dishes, music is on you”.

At Semon we follow the process end-to-end, putting special attention to the post-sell service. Moreover, if we are wrong, we rectify. Our goal is that the product and the treatment received in Semon exceed the expectations that our clients have.
